In the world of wine, the name Champagne is legendary. It is the region where sparkling wine was made so famous, thanks to the quality of the grapes, the spirit of the soil, and the traditions of the region. On your next trip to Paris, why not make an excursion to Champagne and taste the incredible wine there?
While you sample some of the greatest vintages available in the world, you can take in the historic sights and breathtaking countryside views of France—plus, enjoy the delicious, artisanal flavors of the region’s cheese and cuisine.

All you have to do is step out of your lodgings in Paris, and I’ll pick you up in my luxury Mercedes van. Then, you and your group can relax and watch the beautiful architecture of Paris transform into idyllic scenes of the French countryside.
And once you are done tasting wine, I’ll be your designated driver back to the hotel.
It’s an unbelievable journey into the heart of France. You can’t miss this opportunity to learn, taste, and feast like never before!
Itinerary at a Glance
Morning:
- Your French wine adventure begins with a pick-up at 10:30 AM.
- Your first stop is the Vranken-Pommery Champagne caves, a 90-minute ride from the city of Reims. In this area, you’ll find a winemaking history that stretches back multiple millennia.
- At these enormous champagne caves, sit down for a wine tasting (called a “dégustation” with in-house experts) that introduces you to the area’s unbelievable flavors.

Lunch:
- We eat at Restaurant Gabrielle, enjoying local cuisine on the rooftop with views of the High Gothic-styled Reims Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Afternoon:
- After eating, we enter the city to take in the wonder of the Reims Cathedral up close. This church plays a central role in the history of our country — Clovis, the first king of France, was baptized here.
- A short drive brings us to Hautvilliers, where the legendary Dom Perignon, creator of Champagne, grew up and is now buried. The village is extremely well-conserved, offering visitors a glimpse into France’s past.
- If there’s interest, we can visit a local producer in the village for another tasting.
Evening:
- We return to Paris.
- With a 7:30 PM drop-off, you’ll have time for dinner plans in the city.
